Rebecca Jasper MSW, ACSW, LSCW
CEO and Founder of Jasper and Associates

Rebecca Jasper has over forty years of counseling and coaching. Rebecca is committed and dedicated to providing individual, couples and family services to those seeking assistance in removing life’s obstacles. She assists those suffering from an array of disorders, including but not limited to: anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, substance and alcohol addictions as well as interpersonal relationships. Rebecca moved to Farmington in 1995 where she opened up her practice. Recently, Rebecca has become certified in Brainspotting.

Shawna B. Riley, Psy. M, LMHC

Shawna B. Riley received her Associates Degree in 2009 from San Juan College and entered the field as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology from Kaplan University. She received her Master of Science in Professional Counseling in 2021. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Shawna focuses on building relationships with the people she works with and builds connections with others through empathy and understanding.  Shawna began working in jail-based treatment programs and went on to work for other residential treatment programs. She joined our team here at Jasper and Associates in the beginning of 2020.

Maisie Jacquez, MSW, LCSW

Maisie Jacquez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here at Jasper & Associates providing individual counseling services. She has been working with us since August and brings a dose of sunshine into the office. Maisie graduated Summa Cum Laude with both her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Social Work. Maisie was trained in EMDR and Multi-Systematic Therapy in 2021 and has a certification in Rural Community Social Work.

Elysia Russell, MSW

Elysia Russell received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Utah State University and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University with a minor in rural community local work services. She has been trained in multiple modalities including solution-focused therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychotherapy. She supports her clients with tools to find healthy coping skills and perceptions of their life to strengthen themselves and their relationships so they can find peace and feel safe.

Ruthie Strong, MS

Ruthie Strong received her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She earned a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern license in Florida before relocating to Farmington. She joined Jasper & Associates in January 2024.  During her internships, she gained experience working with clients who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Ruthie supports her clients by teaching them grounding techniques, coping skills, emotional naming and regulation, and providing psychoeducation on depression, grief, anxiety, and different communication styles. She believes that clients have the answers to the issues that they are facing within themselves, they just need help sifting through whatever is covering those solutions.
